Happy Monday!

This week is a very special week because 1) It’s a short work week and 2) The Mr. and I celebrate our 3 year anniversary!

If you read last years gift idea post here, you already know that I gave Brandon his gift a month early because I was just too excited to give it to him, haha! This year I (proudly!) held off until yesterday. Yes, it was still 3 days early, but hey that’s pretty darn good for myself!

I already revealed his gift on Snapchat last week, but I was able to take a better photo of it and I also wanted share some other great leather gift ideas with you!

“Luckies of London was founded in 2005 initially sourcing cool stuff from around the world to sell in the UK. ” Today they have evolved into a company that designs and makes gifts that are branded with the Luckies name.

If you know my husband at all, you already know how much he loves his maps! Click here to see the push pin one he got for our 2 year anniversary. When our package from Luckies of London arrived he was pretty excited about the 59.5 x 82.5 Deluxe Scratch Map! You notice how I said “our” package right? Like all of sudden a map arrives in my blogger package and it’s his too LOL

Also included was a 64 page travel journal that has traveling checklists, pages for you to plan your trip itinerary and even pages for you to jot down your favorite moments of each trip! My favorite part is the 8 mini scratch off maps of Europe, Australia, Africa, North America (2), South America, Eastern Eurasia & Western Eurasia. Scratch off as you visit each of the places on your wish list and keep them in your journal to reminisce on the great memories while you plan your new ones!

These items are perfect for yourself if you love to travel or perfect to gift to someone who loves it just as much. Not only does Luckies have something for the traveler, they have so many other great, unique and also hilarious giftable items.

Here are some of my other favorites!

2nd Year Wedding Anniversary Gift Ideas-Cotton

People have been giving gifts to celebrate anniversaries for centuries. According to Wikipedia, “The historic origins of wedding anniversaries date back to the Holy Roman Empire, when husbands crowned their wives with a silver wreath on their 25th anniversary, and a gold wreath on the 50th. Later, in the twentieth century, commercialism led to the addition of more anniversaries being represented by a named gift.”

Last year when Brandon and I were coming up on our 1 year anniversary I decided that I wanted to stick to what we call today “traditional anniversary gifts”. I reeeaaally enjoy giving gifts so I thought this would be a super fun way to keep things creative! Year one is paper. I thought I could write him a sweet letter about how much he means to me, maybe get some fun prints from our honeymoon and past vacations or even tickets to somewhere! But when he surprised me with tickets to Chicago, a place I have always wanted to go while it was snowing, I thought okay I need to top his gift 🙂 so I bought him an Armani watch. Haha! Okay, I know you are probably like what the?! But really I was so super ecstatic about the trip I literally wanted to give him something just as good. Armani never disappoints and if you look at the “modern anniversary gift guide” year one is clocks so that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. 🙂 BUT back to my paper gift, I really did want to stick with the traditional gift giving idea I had set out for (even if that meant he got more than one gift every year). A few months after our wedding I actually ended up selling my wedding dress. I know I have talked about this before, but my closet is like a revolving door and this is the perfect example. I mean really, what was I going to do with the dress anyway?!

My husband didn’t know that I had sold it so when we were celebrating our anniversary dinner in Chicago I gave him his watch and inside of the case not only was there this amazing Armani piece but also a check! His paper gift guys! 😉 I mean who doesn’t love cash money?! Okay, if you are still stuck on the fact that I sold my wedding dress we can talk more about that later LOL!

So this year as we come up on our 2 year wedding anniversary we are celebrating the year of cotton! And I am able to share his gift with you today because the gift I ordered for him came in 4 weeks earlier than expected and I totally caved and couldn’t hold it to myself any longer!

IMG_6157[1] **apparently, my right arm is stronger than my left because after 10 takes this is as straight as I could hold it after arm day!**

I was able to get this awesome and top notch quality Personalized World Travel Map printed on cotton canvas via Etsy. You can order it framed or not framed. It is 24” x 36” unframed. They are made with love by a husband and wife in Denver, CO. Your map will come with 100 colored push pins in a mix of red, white and black to mark your map. You can choose to use the colors as you wish. Choose one color for every place you have gone, another color for where you plan to go and you can even mark your favorites! I even read some people saying that they had “his and her” colors, but apparently if Brandon and I haven’t been there together it doesn’t get counted on the map! LOL! I think this is such a great gift for you and your spouse if you love to travel. Heck, I might be buying this for a few of my friends as well!

Here are a few other fun gift giving cotton ideas!

IMG_6172[1]

  1. Robe: Purchase a plush robe and surprise him with a relaxing, spa retreat | 2. Personalized Pillows and Monogrammed Towels (I love anything personalized!) | 3. Fun Apron (You can buy one for yourself too and surprise him with a 5 course meal and a romantic night in) | 4. Personalized Canvas with the lyrics to the song you first danced to at your wedding | 5. Nice Suit (Surprise him with a suit and take him on a date!)

I would love to hear your ideas too! And since I know you all are planners we may want to start thinking about the upcoming celebrations!

Year Three: Leather

Year Four: Fruit/Flowers

Year Five: Wood

OMG, diamonds aren’t until year 60!!! Maybe we can switch back and forth between the “Traditional list” and the “Modern list”. At least the Modern list will get me diamonds at year 10! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by loves! Feel free to share your thoughts and ideas! I always enjoy them!
