Amazon: My Beauty Must Haves

Happy Friday friends!

Who else relies on Amazon Prime for 98% of their purchases like me?! I wanted to share some of the beauty buys that I have purchased multiple times because I love them so much. Also, sharing a few new items that I recently ordered and am loving!

Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides– I’ve purchased the 20oz container in the past but I really like these to-go packets in case I am running out of the house in the morning (like everyday) I can throw it in my coffee when I get to work. I drink a packet everyday (if I don’t forget) in my morning coffee. Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides are sourced from grass-fed, pasture-raised bovine hides to ensure a natural, high quality, and sustainable source of this ancient nutrient. There are so many benefits to adding collagen peptides to your routine; improves hair, skin, nails and joints, ligaments, tendons. The older we get, our bodies produce less collagen and Vital Proteins helps replenish what we have lost.

24K Gold Collagen Eye Patches– Oh you know, just over here trying to stay young lol. But really, I don’t get much sleep (I’ve always been like this) so I feel like I am always fighting those under eye bags! I have been loving these eye patches. I keep them in the fridge until I need them which is like every other day. They reduce wrinkles and puffiness. I’ve also heard so many great reviews on these 24K eye patches but I couldn’t justify purchasing them at the price just yet so I looked to find a similar one and that’s how I came across these! These 24K eye patches worked great so far so I’m going to try the other ones and let you know the comparison.

T3 Micro Whirl Trio Wand– I have been getting a lot of questions about my curls lately. This is what I have been using for the past year. I mostly use the tapered barrel and 1.25 inch straight barrel.

Moroccan Oil Hairspray– My hair dries board straight and will not hold a curl unless I use the right products. This hairspray is my favorite and it holds so good without feeling stiff! Plus it adds a little shine to your finish. I like these travel ones because I can take them wherever I go. You don’t even have to use that much so this size lasts me quite a while.

Tigi Bedhead Manipulator– Speaking of hair, my baby hairs are cray! I literally cannot wear my hair in a pony or bun without using this stuff to make my crazy baby hairs stay down. I’ll have to share a before and after photo with you but if you follow me on snapchat or IG stories where I am chatting first thing in the morning usually my hair is in a bun with my baby hairs making me look like baby Einstein.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye– You guys… this under eye concealer is life changing! The coverage is so good and it brightens your under eye making you look like you got 12 hours of sleep! Seriously so good you guys!

Ice Roller– This ice roller helps tighten skin, reduce puffiness and redness. This is great for using on any day but especially helps if you had a margarita and mexican food the night before, lol. I don’t know about you but I am all kinds of puffy when I eat/drink salt but #cantstopwontstop so this ice roller saves the day.

Timeless Skincare Serum– I talked about this before on my IG stories. I use this everyday under my daily moisturizer. I put it on a clean face and let it fully dry for about a minute before I apply my moisturizer. It evens out skin and smoothens wrinkles from the inside by rebuilding the skin where it is  needed. My daily moisturizer has vitamin c in it but if yours doesn’t I suggest trying this Timeless Skincare serum with vitamin c.

Tony Moly Hyaluronic Masks– I have a few favorite masks depending on what I feel my skin needs that week but I wanted to share this one specifically with you today because for the price point it is SO good. Especially for this time of year where skin seems to be on the drier side, even more than normal. I have very dry skin and this quenches my skin so much! I put it on at night and the next morning my skin has the perfect glow. I have also tried this one and it’s great too. I just saw this vitamin c one so I am totally going to try that one out next! Also, a side note I mask at least twice a week!

So there you have it, some of my favorite beauty products all available through Amazon Prime! Please let me know if you guys have any questions.

5 Reasons You Need To Try Olay Whips!

Okay, so let’s start from the beginning. In October I was asked to participate in a skincare review for a new product launch. You all know that I love trying new products to share with you but what really intrigued me was that this would be a “blind review” meaning they wouldn’t tell us what brand was behind the product.

I thought this was genius on so many levels!

1-What a great marketing campaign to get us all excited about the product launch. I know I was so excited to find out who the brand was. The only thing I knew is the product was called Whip.

2-Not knowing the brand allowed the “testers” to provide an honest review. I have tried a product in the past from a brand and didn’t like it so that stopped me from wanting to buy anything else from that brand. In other cases if I know it’s a really expensive brand I tend to shy away from it because honestly I don’t see myself buying a jar of $400 cream in real life. This blind review took all of that thinking out of the mix. I was simply asked to try Whip for a month and see what results were in store!

Olay Whips Moisturizer

To be honest with you, as soon as I opened the unbranded jar I had a feeling it might be Olay! I had already added Olay’s Regenerating Night Recovery Cream to my skincare routine so I was familiar with the scent and texture. I wanted to tell you all what my guess was and I couldn’t wait for the big brand reveal!

So, after having using Whip for a month, I want to give you my 5 honest reasons of why you should try Olay Whip.

I have the Total Effects Whip but this moisturizer is also available in Luminous and Regenerist.

1- You want hydrated skin without feeling like your moisturizer is too heavy. I have extremely dry skin, especially during this time of year. This moisturizer really quenched my skin without feeling like I had to layer the product on. It is super lightweight.

2- It’s extremely affordable. I am all about drugstore brands that work! Even when I buy them for the first time I don’t have any buyer’s remorse because I know that even if it doesn’t work I didn’t spend hundreds of dollars to try it! But I’m telling you guys. This.stuff.WORKS!

3- It’s not greasy. It’s very hard to find a moisturizer that hydrates my skin all day long without eventually looking greasy throughout the day. The mix of ingredients provide major hydration with a matte finish that helps banish that mid-day shine!

4- Visibly smooths fine lines and evens skin tone. Hello flawless skin! #wecanwakeuplikethis

5- Minimizes pores– This is so important when you just want your makeup to go on smoothly. Also after a few more weeks of using Whip you may not want to hide that beautiful luminous skin!

Let me know if you guys have tried this product yet or if you plan to. I always love to hear your feedback as well.

SkinPen Procedure With MIA Plastic Surgery

Hi lovelies!

Some of you may already know that I had the SkinPen procedure done with MIA Plastic Surgery a few weeks ago.  I shared a little behind the scenes on my snapchat and I immediately loved the procedure but I wanted to wait to do a full review after a few weeks so I could tell you all about my results.

Update? I’m a huge fan! 🙂

A few months ago I did the Sculpsure procedure with MIA (I talked about it here) so I already knew this was a place I could trust. Not only does MIA Plastic Surgery have 20 years of experience with special expertise in minimally invasive surgery but the entire staff there is so welcoming. It’s like walking into your girlfriend’s house being greeted by all of your (very good looking) best girlfriends!

So, I gotta be honest with you guys, I was actually nervous about this procedure. I mean yes, I did my research but the thought of a needle creating small “punctures” all over my face sounded a little scary but I really wanted to do it because I have only heard great things about the results.

So today I want to share a little more about SkinPen and my personal experience/results.

What is the SkinPen?

SkinPen is a little handheld device that literally looks like a pen. This “pen” has 14 micro needles inside. I would like to point out that these needles are disposed of after a single use so the process is completely sterile.

Here is a video that show the start of the process and Katy talking about the procedure.

What exactly is SkinPen expected to do?

Gives you beautiful, youthful skin, duh! 🙂 It helps improve the appearance of fine lines, wirnkles and even scars.

**Also, something I didn’t think about but so happy that Katy pointed it out, it’s one of the few treatments you can do right around your eyes to prevent wrinkles. Procedures such as botox cannot be done too close to your eyes.

P.S. Katy is the licensed esthetician at MIA (the blonde cutie in the video). You’ll love her!

Does it hurt?

Okay, so everyone’s pain tolerance is different. I read so many different reviews and articles online that “it didn’t hurt at all”. So unfortunately, I think that was the mind set I went in with. Guys, I have to be honest with you and tell you that it was a little more painful than I expected. I mean it was obviously bearable and I didn’t have to take any breaks but I just want to prepare you for when you get this done. On a scale from 0-10, my pain was probably at a 4 but around my nose pain level was about an 8. Again, this is coming from a girl whose eyes water when she gets her eyebrows waxed, but if you are that girl too I just want to be totally honest with you.

Would I do it again?

Heck yes. See, it obviously didn’t hurt that bad. 🙂

More about the SkinPen procedure

I arrived to my appointment and chatted with Katy about my skin concerns. Afterwards, she put a numbing cream on my face for about 20 minutes to numb me. Through the entire SkinPen procedure which was less than about 30 minutes, she educated me on how to take care of my skin post procedure.

Less than an hour you guys. How easy is that?!

Post procedure care

katy just informed me not to use any products with exfoliate for about 4 days and they provided me with Skinfuse product to use in place of my regular daily moisturizer  for about 4 days as well.

After my procedure

Immediately after my procedure my face was light red. Not too crazy, just like I got a sunburn on my face. 🙂 The very next day my skin was pretty dry and continued a light peeling for about 3 days but no kidding on the 4th day I was already happy with my results!

**Not the most attractive angle or picture. #nofilter, haha! But I wanted to show you what I looked like immediately after. Not very red.

How much does it cost?

The SkinPen procedure at MIA is $400 or $1,200 with PRP.

Clearly I am happy with my results and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to do a minimally invasive treatment to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. If you guys have any questions about this procedure that I did not answer here fell free to email me at If I can’t answer your question I’ll be sure to get you in touch with someone at MIA who can!
