It is so warm in Houston right now so I styled them for hot weather but all of these looks will easily transition into cooler weather by adding a heavier sweater or jacket over. One of the things on Landon’s Summer Bucket List was to have a Nerf Gun Party and mama was determined to deliver!
I actually found a few places around Houston you can actually go to and one that will come set up the nerf party at your location but with all of the summer fun we were having, those options were a little beyond my budget! So I ended up buying a few things from Amazon and putting it all together in our backyard for Landon and his friends and they absolutely loved it!!
If you are wanting to plan a bigger party for your crew, Battlefield Houston and Cajun Cages are the two facilities that host Nerf parties and Backyard Pineapple is the company that will come set up a battlefield at your location of choice!

Happy Wednesday! Although I have been sad that the kids are back in school, it will be nice to get my schedule back in order! Starting with my blog posts! Today I am sharing a really comfy midi dress from Loft that is perfect for work!
This polo midi dress is really soft and comfy. I paired it with Loft heels here for a dressier work wear look but it can always be paired with sneakers for all of my teachers out there! I am wearing a size small for reference.
I am also linking a similar bag from Amazon. The one I am carrying here is a Bottega look alike from Amazon but it’s no longer available. Maybe because Amazon realized it is almost an exact match as the original! I am also linking a tote bag I recently got in from Amazon because the quality is so good! It would be perfect for work! I have been using it as my everyday mom bag and travel bag.

It’s been a few weeks since we got back from our weekend getaway in Charleston, South Carolina and I am still thinking about all of the yummy food that we ate! This was my 3rd visit to the charming city and I still love it just as much as the first time. I also wrote a blog post about everywhere we ate and stayed the first time! You can read that post here.
This was actually my second stay at The Grand Bohemian Hotel in Charleston. The last time we visited Brandon picked this hotel because it was an Autograph Collection hotel and you know boujee Brandon only picks the best hotels 🙂 I absolutely love this property! Everything about it feels so luxurious. From the beds to the decor to the in-house art gallery! And major plus that it’s only a block away from King Street so it’s super close to shopping and restaurants! I highly recommend this hotel!
I love that Margret, Yash and Annie love food as much as I do because I think one of our top priorities, other than enjoying quality time with each other, was to find all of the good restaurants! Mission Accomplished! Both mornings we ate breakfast at The Grand Bohemian Hotel. It was convenient, the food was great and you could enjoy your coffee on the rooftop if you wanted to!
We lunched at Gingerline and Church & Union. We enjoyed dinner at Poogan’s Porch and Chef Nous.

Bright colors continue to be all the rage this summer and the trend will continue into Fall so I am sharing some of my recent orange pieces from Amazon.
If in between sizes, size down. I love the flutter detail on the one sleeve and ruching around the tummy area is always going to be a win for me! This dress would be perfect for a wedding guest or cocktail attire event.
